Startuplinks and Cuantico VP Launch Partnership to Strengthen Latin America’s Leading Venture Capital Community

The agreement aims to strengthen the regional venture capital ecosystem amid rising demands for capital and returns, combining market intelligence, community, and visibility.

Mexico City, 07 January 2026. – Startuplinks, a community and platform specializing in the Venture Capital industry in Latin America, and Cuantico VP, majority partner in ILB Media Group, one of the region’s most influential B2B and market intelligence networks, have formalized a strategic partnership. Its goal is to reduce the information asymmetry faced by investors and founders in an increasingly competitive market focused on liquidity.

The Need to Strengthen VC in Latin America

Following the investment peak of 2021, Latin America’s venture capital ecosystem has entered a phase of maturity, though it faces challenges in capital availability and pressure to generate returns. The focus has shifted from quickly raising funds to building exits and sustainable results.

In this new phase, Latin America faces the challenges typical of an emerging market. Venture Capital in the region has yet to complete three 10-year cycles—the average lifespan of a fund—since emerging after the dot-com bubble of 2000. Monashees, founded in 2005 in Brazil, and Ignia Fund, established in 2007 in Mexico, were among the region’s first funds.

“This partnership represents exactly what the ecosystem needs today: less noise and more valuable information”, says Israel Garcia Ballesteros, CEO and founder of Startuplinks. “At Startuplinks, we’ve built the largest Spanish-speaking VC community, with more than 270 institutional investors and specialized content for the region. Cuantico VP brings a unique ability to turn data, trends, and analysis into strategic decisions. Together, we’ll help people understand how this game is really played in Latin America.”

Strategic Synergy

The partnership combines Startuplinks’ community and intelligence with Cuantico VP’s distribution and visibility capabilities.

Cuantico VP has established itself as a leading authority in mapping and showcasing the dynamics of venture capital in Latin America. Through projects such as the Latin America Venture Capital Reports and the Top Startups to Watchmaps, as well as its B2B media portfolio—which includes brands such as Latam Republic, Pulso Capital, SilverLac, Entorno.vc, Nexus Pacífico, and iLifebelt—the firm reaches thousands of senior executives and decision-makers from Latin America to the United States.

For its part, Startuplinks has developed Latin America’s most active community of Venture Capital funds, with more than 270 firms registered. It also has the most extensive Spanish-language database on the industry, helping people understand and discuss key concepts—such as fund structures and portfolio strategies—in a local context.

According to Jose Kont, Executive Director of Cuantico VP: “We see Startuplinks as a partner that understands that Latin American VC isn’t just about raising capital, but about building capabilities, relationships, and sound judgment. Joining as minority partners allows us to align our editorial vision and collaborate with complete freedom, expanding the impact of the pioneering work Isra and his team have driven.”

A US$10M Commitment to the Region

As part of the partnership, Jose Kont joins Startuplinks as a Strategic Advisor and member of the editorial board, bringing his experience in market research, media platform development, and coordinating regional initiatives within Latin America’s investment ecosystem.

This joint platform aims to become a global reference on the realities, challenges, and opportunities of Latin American venture capital , from the perspectives of both fund managers (GPs) and founders seeking capital.

“Over the past five years, we’ve built one of the region’s leading business intelligence media networks, with an audience of leaders managing businesses that generate more than three billion dollars a year. Our work addresses an urgent need: How do you invest in Latin America, and who is already doing so? Today, we bring data, context, community, and visibility to the table, and we’ll continue expanding our portfolio of media and products to increase the supply of capital to the region, including a commitment to inject US$10 million over the next ten years through formats that go beyond traditional capital, such as Media for Equity (M4E).”
firm executives said.
“We want Latin America, in the medium term, to stand out globally not necessarily for tourism or gastronomy, but for its leadership in innovation, investment, and technological development. Cases like El Salvador show that, when there’s the will, it’s possible.”
