DELFI launches its catalog of “AI humans”; Hernán Drago and Javier Calamaro join the roster for fashion productions in LATAM

Hernán Drago modeled for Hugo Boss, Christian Dior, Falabella, Ripley and Scappino. Maxi López played for River Plate, Barcelona and Milan. Javier Calamaro is one of the leading figures in Argentine rock. Bruno Fernando, a Brazilian model and influencer, has millions of followers in the fashion world. Now, all four are part of DELFI’s roster of “AI humans”: —authorized digital versions of real people to star in new AI-generated fashion productions.

Delfi’s Delfi has a straightforward offering: a brand can choose one of these figures, DELFI takes its garments, and the brand receives images ready to publish, without arranging a new in-person shoot. This is not about using someone’s likeness without permission; each “AI human” is a digital version of a celebrity who has authorized their virtualization and commercial use under agreed terms, with licenses and the option of exclusivity agreements.

What is an “AI human,” and how does DELFI’s model work?

DELFI is an agency of professional AI models for the fashion industry. It works with two types of assets: virtual models that are its own intellectual property, created entirely with AI, and licensed digital versions of real people, which make up its “AI humans” roster.

The operational process eliminates the friction of traditional production. The brand selects the figure it wants to use, drops off the garments at DELFI’s premises, and receives the finished content: e-commerce photos, images for social media and, in some cases, video. There is no need to coordinate schedules with the figure, no travel, and no production crew on location.

The billing model is just as straightforward: DELFI charges per approved photo, not per photo generated. Brands pay for what they actually use.

“What could a model like Hernán Drago, who has worked for Hugo Boss, Christian Dior, Falabella, Ripley and Scappino, bring to a collection? And what could Maxi López, who played for River Plate, Barcelona and Milan, bring to a sportswear line? A brand doesn’t choose just a face: it also chooses a career and an identity. With DELFI, it can work with these figures through their authorized digital versions and produce new images featuring garments from its collection.” Ezequiel D'Amico, DELFI co-founder and CEO

Fashion, sports, music and influencers: profiles for every collection

DELFI’s DELFI roster is designed to help brands find the right identity for each collection. Each figure brings a different background: Hernán Drago is Argentina’s male model with the longest international career, having appeared for luxury European brands and LATAM retailers. Maxi López connects with the world of sports and soccer culture. Javier Calamaro embodies the attitude of Argentine rock, backed by Sony Music. Bruno Fernando brings the profile of a male influencer connected to Brazil’s fashion industry.

“When we talk to brands, they often tell us they want to give their collection a more rock-and-roll feel. What better way than to work with the authorized digital version of a rock star like Javier Calamaro, with his presence, his story and all his aura? It’s not just about adding a familiar face, but finding someone who embodies what the collection wants to convey.” Ezequiel D'Amico, DELFI co-founder and CEO

An additional feature of the catalog is the ability to work with different moments in a person’s appearance. In Hernán Drago’s case, brands can produce content with his current appearance or with a digital version from around 30 years ago. No archival photographs are used: these are new AI-generated productions featuring garments from a current collection. See the example of Hernán Drago as an AI model at DELFI.

The full roster includes more than the four names announced in the press. The agency also works with figures from streaming, popular music and social media.

Delfi’s offering for agencies, brands and marketing departments

DELFI’s model is aimed at brands that need a high volume of content with visual consistency. Its current clients include Liverpool, Falabella, Ripley, Leonisa, LEO, Topper and Wilson, retailers operating in several Latin American markets that need ongoing product images for catalogs, e-commerce and social media campaigns.

The platform integrates with the region’s leading e-commerce systems: Shopify, Magento, VTEX and Tiendanube. This allows brands to incorporate the image-production workflow into their regular operations, without additional manual processes.

The company received the Argentine Good Design Seal in its 14th edition (SBD No. 7041), an award recognizing products and services that meet quality standards in design and innovation.

The founding team and investors behind DELFI

DELFI was founded by Ezequiel D'Amico (CEO), Federico Vidueiro (CTO) and Rafael Bronenberg (COO). The team has worked together since university and previously co-founded EUDA, a technology company focused on major retailers. Before DELFI, they also developed mobile games under an official Lionel Messi license.

The startup is backed by Avalancha Ventures (Mexico), DRC Global (Argentina) and Parallel18 (Puerto Rico), an accelerator fund connected to the Spanish-speaking startup ecosystem and based in Puerto Rico.
