StartCo 2026 Is Back: Latin America’s Biggest Live Investment Event

On 16 and 17 April 2026, more than 15,000 attendees, 360 startups and 80+ investors from across the region will gather in Medellín for a unique format: live capital negotiations where founders pitch to dozens of funds competing in real time.

StartCo returns to Medellín for its seventh edition with a proposition that sets it apart from any other event in the region: real conversations with investors ready to commit capital. Startups negotiate live, in front of funds competing in real time, accelerating commitments that would take months in other settings.

The results of 2025 speak for themselves: more than 13,000 attendees, 350 startups from 20 countries, more than 150 investment funds, US$3 million in investment intentions, and more than 20,000 business connections recorded in just two days. For 2026, projections point to more than 15,000 attendees and at least US$3.5 million in committed capital.

Organized by Starter Company SAS, StartCo has established itself as one of Latin America’s most important tech events, with a disruptive mix of live investment, intensive deal flow, a startup showcase and structured networking that prioritizes action over talk.

The format that makes the difference

At StartCo, the central dynamic goes beyond the classic pitch. Attendees vote for the most attractive startups, the highest-ranked advance to presentations on the main stage, and investors compete in real time for the best opportunities. A select group of finalist entrepreneurs takes the stage to pitch and negotiate in front of hundreds or thousands of people, creating urgency, visibility and investment conversations that begin right there.

This format has enabled startups from previous editions to close rounds or secure significant investment commitments right after the event. Competitive pressure speeds up decisions, and the transparency of the process builds trust between founders and investors.

Beyond investment, StartCo brings together key ecosystem players, including Endeavor, Rockstart, Ruta N, Bancolombia, AWS and regional accelerators, establishing itself as a temporary hub where VCs, corporations and policymakers from Latin America converge.

What to expect at StartCo 2026

The 2026 edition promises a comprehensive experience designed to maximize connections and business opportunities:

  • Startup Showcase: 360 high-potential startups from across Latin America will be featured at the event, with booths and contact areas where they can meet dozens or hundreds of visitors interested in learning about their solutions.
  • Live investment: The startups ranked highest by attendees will compete on the main stage in front of investors making offers in real time, with the possibility of securing investment commitments during the event.
  • Structured speed meetings: Dedicated areas for one-on-one meetings between startups and venture capital funds, with organized schedules to optimize time and ensure quality conversations.
  • Sector-specific demo days: Vertical-focused sessions where startups in specific sectors pitch to investors, corporations and strategic partners interested in those industries.
  • Conferences and mentoring: Keynote talks by leading figures in the global ecosystem, panels on investment trends and mentoring sessions with experts from across the region.
  • Exclusive networking spaces: Coffee breaks, cocktail receptions and VIP areas designed to maximize interaction among founders, angel investors, family offices and corporations.
  • VC Week Colombia: An integrated gathering of the region’s investment funds, organized by Rockstart, serving as a meeting point for VCs, Limited Partners and startups.

Opportunities for Mexican startups

StartCo has announced that at least 50% of the selected startups will be international, with Mexico among its priority markets. For Mexican startups, taking part means:

  • Expansion opportunities in Colombia, Latin America’s fourth most innovative economy
  • Validation of business models with regional customers and partners
