Rise launches BATS001, a token backed by musical instruments in Brazil

Rise, the Brazilian fintech focused on investments and financial innovation, announced the launch of BATS001, its first Real World Assets (RWA) product, developed with BATS. The digital asset is backed by musical instruments and marks the company’s official entry into the real-world asset tokenization segment.

The launch comes just months after the company closed a US$ 600 million pre-seed round in January, with participation from investors including Katia Moroni and law firm CBA, which was involved in some of the Central Bank of Brazil’s crypto regulations.

Rise’s origins and its bet on decentralized finance

Behind Rise is Vitor Delduque, a former Mercado Bitcoin tokenization executive who left the company in 2024 to found Rise alongside Caco Grandino and Vitor Freire.

The startup aims to bring decentralized finance products to the traditional investment market through regulated, accessible solutions.

“Rise began with the goal of making it easier for investors to enter this world of investing in a safe and regulated way,” Delduque explained. “On the blockchain, you can make everything transparent and track the movement of money.”

How the BATS001 token works

BATS001 was structured as a digital fixed-income offering. The token represents a Commercial Note issued by BATS and does not entail the purchase of musical instruments or an ownership stake in the company.

In practice, investors acquire a security linked to the company’s operations, with the right to receive monthly interest and full repayment of the principal at maturity. The transaction is also backed by a commercial pledge over BATS’s inventory of musical instruments.

The funds raised will be used to purchase new instruments and equipment, which will then generate recurring revenue through rentals and sales. Payments to investors will come from this operating cash flow.

The product’s target return is 1,476% per month, equivalent to 19,23% per year, exceeding Brazil’s CDI rate, which is currently close to 14,4% per year.

In addition, the token is registered on the blockchain to ensure transparency and traceability, while the transaction complies with CVM Resolution No. 88.

The blockchain infrastructure behind the project

The project’s blockchain technology was developed by Dexcap, Rise’s strategic partner in this transaction.

According to the fintech, one of the main challenges was designing a solid financial structure suited to BATS’s innovative business model.

“The big challenge was balancing an innovative business model with a solid financial structure for investors. We managed to create a product that works well for both sides,” Delduque said.

Rise already operated other tokenized products

Before entering the RWA market, Rise already offered two other proprietary products. One is Rise Liquid Yield (RLY), a variable-income solution offering exposure to dollar/dollar liquidity pools managed through smart contracts.

The second is Rise Fixed Income (RFI), a fixed-income product with a full guarantee of principal by the partners, daily liquidity, and an exemption from income tax.

On the latter, Delduque joked:

“We created an asset so good it looked like a pyramid scheme,” he recalled, noting that it once offered returns close to 2% per month.

Next up: a tokenized real estate fund

Rise is already preparing new tokenized assets in its pipeline. The next project will be developed with Pacífico Sul, a company focused on acquiring properties at auction, renovating them, and reselling them.

The token will function like a tokenized real estate fund, expanding the fintech’s range of real-world assets.

International expansion and agreements with financial institutions

Internationally, Rise is also moving forward with an exclusive partnership with Fairbanks, a firm based in Rancho Santa Fe, California, that focuses on multibillionaire families.

With more than 30 years of history, the fund had never been accessible beyond its private circle. Rise aims to tokenize the product and offer it to the Brazilian market, marking the first time it will be available outside the United States.

At the same time, the company is also working on agreements with major financial institutions to offer its automated management infrastructure, which currently operates without an in-house technology team and with autonomous processes.

The RWA market continues to accelerate its growth

Rise’s expansion comes amid global growth in the real-world asset tokenization market. According to estimates by Bank of America and Boston Consulting Group, the RWA market could exceed US$16 trillion by 2030.
