Rintin raises US$6,2 million to expand its AI-powered B2B commerce platform
Rintin raised US$6,2 million in a round led by Cometa to expand its AI-powered B2B marketplace.

Rintin secured a US$6,2 million investment round led by Cometa to accelerate the growth of its AI-powered B2B commerce platform in Mexico. The company will use the funds to expand its marketplace, strengthen its logistics infrastructure, increase access to embedded credit, and continue developing AI-based tools to drive growth for its customers’ businesses.
The round also included participation from Newtopia VC, Latin Leap, Amador Holdings, and FJ Labs, as well as angel investors from the regional and international tech ecosystem, including Guillermo Rauch (Vercel), Guibert Englebienne (Globant), Adolfo Babatz (Clip), Adalberto Flores (Kueski), Josh Silverman (Etsy), Matías Woloski (Auth0), Agustín Soler and Mariano Battan (Mural), and James Gutierrez (Oportun).
Rintin aims to address the challenges faced by small businesses in Latin America
Millions of micro and small business owners in Latin America rely on informal commerce as their main source of income. Yet stocking their businesses remains costly, slow, and risky. Many have to temporarily close their shops to travel to wholesale markets, carry cash, and navigate a fragmented supply chain.
Limited access to formal credit compounds the problem. Most merchants buy inventory only with the capital they have on hand, which restricts their stock, reduces their margins, and limits their growth potential. Despite accounting for more than 55% of Mexico’s workforce, micro and small businesses remain underserved by the traditional financial system.
Gastón Greco, Rintin’s co-founder and COO, said he knows this reality firsthand.
“I grew up in Chaco, a remote province in northern Argentina. My father and I would go from one distributor to another, looking for the best price and buying only what we needed to open that day. When everything depends on cash, you end up spending your time surviving instead of growing your business.”
Artificial intelligence, embedded credit, and wholesale commerce on a single platform

Rintin connects small merchants and women resellers in Mexico directly with manufacturers and wholesale importers, eliminating traditional supply chain intermediaries.
Through its marketplace, women entrepreneurs can buy products from multiple suppliers in one place, access more than 15.000 SKUs, receive orders directly at home or at their business, and obtain financing to grow their companies.
To date, more than 12.000 women entrepreneurs have made purchases through the platform, and more than US$2 million in credit has been extended.
The business model combines four main components:
- Wholesale sourcing.
- Embedded credit.
- Nationwide logistics.
- Digital tools for sales and business management.
Artificial intelligence is at the heart of the platform, helping optimize the customer experience, improve user acquisition efficiency, and use unstructured data to assess the credit profiles of women entrepreneurs without formal financial histories.
At the same time, users gain access to digital tools such as virtual catalogs, business management software, and AI-generated images for sales—capabilities traditionally reserved for larger companies.
In addition to its technology, Rintin has built a community of more than 50.000 active women entrepreneurs in WhatsApp groups, where they validate products, share experiences, and make recommendations that strengthen trust and demand on the platform.
Quinto Van Peborgh, Rintin’s co-founder and CEO, stressed that trust has been fundamental to the company’s growth.
“From day one, we understood that this isn’t just about technology. It’s about trust. And trust isn’t built with code alone; it’s built by being there every day, solving real problems, and caring about the user experience.”
Investment will drive marketplace expansion and the development of new AI tools
With the new funds, Rintin plans to expand its marketplace, strengthen its logistics infrastructure, increase adoption of its credit product among its customers, and continue developing AI-based tools to boost entrepreneurs’ sales and business management.
The team behind Rintin’s growth

Rintin is an AI-powered B2B commerce platform that enables small merchants and women resellers in Mexico to source products directly from manufacturers and wholesale importers, while accessing financing, logistics, and digital tools in one place.
The company was founded by Argentine entrepreneurs Quinto Van Peborgh and Gastón Greco, who bring experience in entrepreneurship, investment, and business development.
Van Peborgh is an economist and previously co-founded Goodfish, a healthy snack brand that expanded nationwide in the United States. He also led investments at Global Founders Capital, earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, and served as an adviser to the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic.
Greco, meanwhile, is an architect and entrepreneur. He founded Posco, an Argentine footwear brand with a presence in New York, and co-founded Micromask during the pandemic. His experience growing up in a family distribution and retail business in Chaco was instrumental in helping him understand the challenges faced by millions of small merchants in Latin America and develop the vision that now drives Rintin.
