Rexi closes $ US$ 1,2M pre-seed round to scale its AI-native platform

Rexi is advancing fintech infrastructure with the close of a $ US$1,2 million pre-seed round to strengthen its AI-native platform focused on reconciling financial transactions.

The Argentine fintech, based in New York, confirmed that the round closed in July 2025 and included several U.S. venture capital funds, with no lead investor. This structure reflects broad interest in operational infrastructure solutions across the fintech ecosystem.

A founding team with experience in fintech and technology

The company was founded in January 2025 by Ignacio Berardi (CEO, Harvard MBA and former Común), Teo Zavalia Gahan (COO, with experience at FJ Labs and Mercado Libre) and Sebastián García (CTO, with experience at Pomelo, Naranja X and Mercado Libre).

Rexi currently operates with a seven-person team in Buenos Aires and also has a commercial office in New York.

The challenge of financial reconciliation

One of the main problems addressed by Rexi is bank reconciliation, a critical process in financial infrastructure that is nonetheless often underestimated.

Banks, digital wallets, insurtechs and payment processors with high transaction volumes often rely on in-house systems that are complex, difficult to scale and prone to error.

In response, Rexi proposes automating this process with artificial intelligence. Its platform brings multiple financial data sources together in one environment, lets users apply reconciliation rules without coding, and delegates exception resolution to an AI agent, leaving the human team to validate the results.

According to the company, this approach enables match rates of 99,7% and cuts processes that once took days down to just minutes.

Infrastructure for the new fintech era

Rexi aims to become the operating system for modern finance, replacing in-house solutions that consume engineering resources and can create regulatory risks.

The platform is compatible with tools and services such as Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, NetSuite and QuickBooks, and also integrates with traditional bank accounts. It is also SOC 2 Type II certified.

Next steps and regional expansion

With the funds raised in this round, Rexi plans to strengthen its product, expand its technical and commercial teams, and accelerate growth in Latin American and North American markets.

The company is planning a Seed round for the second half of 2026, in line with the traction it expects to build over the coming year.
