Pitz raises US$5 million to transform auto repair shops with artificial intelligence

Pitz closed a US$5 million pre-seed round to expand its artificial intelligence platform for auto repair shops in Brazil and the United States.

Pitz raises US$5 million to transform auto repair shops with artificial intelligence

Pitz, a Mexican automotive technology startup founded by former Rappi and Jokr executive Natália Salcedo, closed an extension of its pre-seed round for approximately US$2.9 million. With this deal, the company has raised a total of US$5 million in less than a year to drive its growth in Brazil and prepare to enter the U.S. market.

The company is developing an artificial intelligence-powered platform focused on transforming and simplifying auto repair shop operations, an industry that has historically relied on manual processes and limited digitization.

An AI-powered platform to modernize auto repair shops

Pitz aims to become an all-in-one operating system for auto repair shops, bringing together various functions on a single platform. Its technology combines diagnostic tools, operational management, logistics, and access to a marketplace with more than one million auto parts SKUs.

One of the platform’s core features is an artificial intelligence system that acts as a virtual assistant for mechanics. Through voice interactions, the tool helps identify vehicle problems and turn that information into more accurate and efficient repair plans.

The company aims to address common problems in the automotive industry, where incorrect or incomplete diagnoses often lead to delays and additional costs.

Investors back Pitz’s growth

The new investment completes a US$5 million pre-seed round, which began seven months earlier with US$2.1 million in funding.

The extension included participation from funds such as Alaya Capital, Boost, Cracks, Latitud, The Pitch, BFF, Marathon and Amplifica. These investors join previous backers Hustle Fund and 500 Startups.

The funds’ interest reflects confidence in Pitz’s potential to transform the global auto repair market, valued at approximately US$1.7 trillion.

In addition to technology development, the new funding will go toward strengthening the startup’s international expansion strategy.

Brazil becomes a key market for the startup

Brazil quickly established itself as Pitz’s most strategic market. The company believes the country’s size and cultural and logistical complexity make it an ideal environment for validating a model that can scale globally.

The startup currently operates with an entirely local team in Brazil, adapting its solutions to the market’s specific needs.

The country accounts for a significant share of Latin America’s automotive aftermarket, estimated at US$100 billion.

Pitz prepares to enter the United States

With the new capital, the startup plans to begin operations in the United States before the end of the year. Its initial strategy will focus on the Latino community in the automotive sector, a segment the company sees as a good fit for its platform.

The expansion into North America marks an important step in Pitz’s international growth strategy as it seeks to establish itself as a global player in automotive technology.

The company currently works with more than 1,400 repair shops and aims to exceed 8,000 shops connected to the platform by 2026.

To sustain this growth, Pitz is also expanding its teams in Mexico and Brazil, fostering regional collaboration through Portuguese-language training programs for Mexican employees.

Pitz is betting on transforming the automotive industry in the Americas

With an artificial intelligence-based platform and a strategy focused on operational efficiency, Pitz aims to modernize an industry that still relies on traditional processes.

The startup is betting on creating a more connected and efficient ecosystem for independent repair shops while accelerating its expansion in key markets such as Brazil and the United States.

Closing this round positions the company to consolidate its presence in Latin America and advance its goal of becoming a global leader in automotive technology.
