Movilizatorio wins the 6th edition of the Childtech Challenge to bring generative artificial intelligence to public schools

Mexico City, 3 February 2026. — Movilizatorio was selected as the winning company in the sixth edition of the Childtech Challenge, organized by United Way México and Impactus Ventures in collaboration with Fundación Robotix and Promotora Social México. The company will implement a training program in generative artificial intelligence, with an ethical and pedagogical focus, in public schools in four states across the country during 2026.

The Childtech Challenge is a global competition that encourages startups, companies, and organizations to expand opportunities for children and young people through innovative projects with social impact.

Since its launch, it has benefited more than 35,000 people in 8 countries, connecting innovation, purpose, and educational development through strategic partnerships between the technology sector and social organizations.

The sixth edition of the Childtech Challenge aims to address one of the major challenges facing Mexico’s education system: integrating generative artificial intelligence into STEM+ learning in public schools. AI is currently not part of the official curriculum, and many teachers lack the training to use it pedagogically, while students are already interacting with these tools without adequate educational guidance.

Movilizatorio will implement its proposal alongside Fundación Robotix through the Robotix In the Box program, benefiting more than 1,000 middle and high school students and 50 teachers. The project will be implemented over six months, from February to July 2026. The approach prioritizes skills transfer, the use of open-license educational materials, and the development of learning that will allow the model to continue beyond this initial phase, enabling methodologies to be validated, local capacity to be strengthened, and the groundwork to be laid for potential scale-up.

Technology with a purpose to transform education

Movilizatorio is a Latin American social enterprise with more than 10 years of experience in educational innovation and teacher training, operating in several Latin American countries. Its work has focused on designing educational programs, producing content, and providing institutional support, with an emphasis on the ethical use of technology.

Details of the winning project:

  • It will benefit more than 1,000 middle and high school students and 50 teachers, strengthening their skills for the ethical and creative use of AI in the classroom.
  • Movilizatorio will receive $25,000 USD in funding to design, develop, and deliver the training program, as well as provide training and technical and pedagogical support.
  • It will be implemented in public schools in Veracruz, Nuevo León, Mexico City, and the State of Mexico.
  • The focus is on the critical, ethical, and pedagogical use of generative AI in the classroom.
“Winning is a validation of what we’ve been building by betting on digital literacy in Latin America. Generative AI is so new that there was a lot of uncertainty about whether our pedagogical and ethical approach would resonate in this context. Being selected by Impactus, United Way México, and Fundación Robotix confirms that we’re on the right track,” says Juliana Uribe, CEO and founder of Movilizatorio.

Movilizatorio has a multidisciplinary team and operates continuously in Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and South Africa, with additional projects in Ecuador. In recent years, it has trained more than 11,900 teachers and collaborated with education ministries and departments in various countries across the region.

“For girls and boys, we want them to see AI as a tool they control, not as something magical or threatening, while always remaining critical and creative. For teachers, we want to free up their time and ease their fear that technology is leaving them behind. And for families, we want parents to see that their children are learning something useful for the real world,” Juliana concluded.
