Mattilda secures 50 million to transform school financing in Latin America

Mexico City / Bogotá / Quito / London, September 2025. Mattilda, the Mexican company specializing in collections management, factoring, and financing for schools in Latin America, announced that it had secured 50 million dollars through debt, to drive its strategic growth.

‍

The credit line was provided by Lendable, a global private credit fund focused on fintech and technology companies advancing financial inclusion in emerging markets.

This financing adds to an equity round of 10 million dollars, completed early in the year and subscribed by investors GSV, Dila Capital and FinTech Collective. The equity round was subscribed at a valuation significantly higher than those of previous rounds. Together with Lendable’s credit line, it will enable Mattilda to advance product development, international expansion, and select strategic acquisitions, consolidating its position as the region’s most comprehensive financial and operational partner for schools.

Founded in 2022, Mattilda offers a Software as a Service platform (SaaS) that enables private schools to manage tuition payments, reduce late payments, and free up liquidity through financing solutions backed by future tuition payments.

By giving schools access to technology and capital, Mattilda helps educational institutions serving low- and middle-income families achieve financial resilience and long-term sustainability.

“This new capital allows us to expand our product range, accelerate growth in existing markets, and explore strategic acquisitions that strengthen our ability to serve schools. At Mattilda, we believe schools deserve the same financial tools and resources as any business. Our mission is to strengthen the relationship between schools and money, making education a sustainable, high-impact sector for millions of families across Latin America,” said Juan Pablo Bravo, Mattilda’s cofounder and CFO.

Agustín De Luca, Lendable’s Associate Director for Latin America, commented: “We’re excited to partner with Mattilda on this landmark transaction, which supports its expansion across the region. This credit line reflects our confidence in its technology-driven approach and its ability to provide scalable, innovative financial solutions to private schools. The transaction includes an innovative multi-jurisdictional collateral structure, and we are proud to support Mattilda in its mission to broaden access to quality education across the region,” added the Lendable representative.
