Impacta VC Turns Four and Prepares Major Announcements at ETMday’s Impactaland
Impacta VC celebrates 4 years with a new edition of Impactaland at EtMday 2025, bringing together startups, VCs, and global leaders to drive impact investing.

The Latin American venture capital fund focused on social and environmental impact, Impacta VC, is celebrating four years since its founding and will mark the occasion by organizing and managing the fourth edition of Impactaland, the investment hub for the entrepreneurial ecosystem at EtMDay, Latin America’s leading innovation and entrepreneurship event, which will take place from 20 to 22 in November.
Designed and led by Impacta VC through a recently signed partnership with Emprende tu Mente, the nonprofit organization behind EtMday 2025, Impactaland’s 1.000-square-meter venue will bring together key players in the entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem over three days: startups, venture capital funds, corporate VCs, LPs, angel investors, companies, and strategic partners.
For the 2025 edition of Impactaland, Impacta VC will invite several influential figures in entrepreneurship and investment from abroad. One of them is American entrepreneur Patrick McGinnis making his first appearance at an EtMday.
Patrick McGinnis, who will be joining Impactaland, is a renowned writer and speaker who has invested in leading companies in the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia, and coined the term “FOMO.” McGinnis will be the first speaker on the EtMday main stage, immediately after President Gabriel Boric’s opening remarks on Thursday, and will appear at the Impactaland Stage on Friday.
In this way, Impactaland aims to provide a space that strengthens collaboration across the entrepreneurial ecosystem: an ambitious investment hub designed to bring together key national and international players—not only from the world of venture capital (VC), but also investors interested in building and growing emerging companies.
Impactaland aims to bridge the gap between Latin American resources and talent by providing capital, connections, and expertise to entrepreneurs building the companies the world needs.
To achieve this goal, Impactaland is designed as a modular space made up of distinct zones, each with specific objectives and functions. These zones operate in coordination during the first two days of the event (Thursday and Friday), creating a steady flow of activity and value for all attendees.
The permanent zones are:
- VC Lounge Zone: 1:1 meetings between startups and investors, matched by investment thesis. (Using our tool Impacta Matchmaker)
- StartupLab 01 Cowork: A space sponsored by Fundación Chile and CORFO, open for work, collaboration, and spontaneous networking.
- Impacta Stage Zone: A curated content stage featuring talks, panels, keynotes, and relevant conversations.
- Sponsor Zone: A zone for booths and activations by partner companies.
Outside the EtMday venue, the “Mingle Night” will also take place. This private, exclusive event is for invited investors only—LPs, VCs, sponsors, partners, and top founders—and is designed for conversation, relaxation, and relationship-building in a carefully curated setting (by direct invitation only).
Another new feature this year is the “Impacta Coffee Rave” by Señor K: on Saturday 22 in November, Impacta VC will wrap up the event in a different way, with a live DJ set, lineup, and Wellness Zone, bringing people together through music, well-being, and celebration.
The idea is to make it a family-friendly space where investors and startups can attend with their families, fostering genuine personal connections while enjoying the event’s positive atmosphere. It will also feature activities for everyone, including face painting, storytelling, a purpose mural, and a wellness program with activities such as yoga.
The fund, which focuses on impact and has US$7M under management, will participate in EtMday for the fourth consecutive year, just ahead of opening its second fund. This brings the challenge of raising the bar compared with previous years. Last year, Impactaland welcomed thousands of people over the 3-day event, generated 11.800 connections between startups through Impacta Match Maker and VCs, facilitated more than 600 meaningful contacts between VCs and startups, brought together 49 domestic and international LPs and 120 venture capital firms from the region, and hosted more than 500 meetings between VCs and LPs—an unprecedented success for Impacta VC’s networking space.
““Building an ecosystem of cooperation is what motivates us year after year. Seeing businesses take shape, LPs finally invest in VCs, investors close deals with startups, and companies offer services that help founders grow—that’s our currency. We’ve learned that this ecosystem grows stronger when everyone succeeds: it’s a collaborative environment more than a competitive one. That dynamic is what makes building technology companies in our region unique and valuable,” said Catalina Taricco, COO and CMO of Impacta VC and director of Impactaland.
