From Chile to the world: Lab4U acquired by Britebound to bring its STEM solutions to U.S. classrooms"

Britebound announced its acquisition of educational technology company Lab4U, a move aimed at strengthening learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and expanding career exploration experiences for millions of students in the United States.

The partnership brings together two organizations focused on helping young people discover their interests, develop skills for the future, and explore potential academic and career paths.

Britebound strengthens its STEM education ecosystem

The Boston-based nonprofit organization reported that Lab4U will become part of its growing digital learning ecosystem. Known for turning smartphones and tablets into tools for hands-on science education, Lab4U’s platform will complement Britebound’s efforts to provide more dynamic educational experiences that foster skill development and career exploration.

With this acquisition, Britebound aims to expand access to STEM-centered educational experiences that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving—skills it considers increasingly relevant as technology and artificial intelligence transform the labor market.

Julie Lammers, Britebound’s president and CEO, highlighted the alignment between the missions of the two organizations.

“Lab4U has developed an extraordinary platform that brings STEM learning to students through hands-on, accessible experiences. From our first conversations, it was clear that we share a deep commitment to helping young people discover their strengths, explore new opportunities, and develop the skills they need to thrive.”

The executive added that bringing Lab4U into the organization will expand STEM learning opportunities for millions of students across the country.

A shared mission to prepare students for the future

Both organizations said they share the conviction that all young people should have the opportunity to identify their strengths, explore different possibilities for their future, and access experiences that support their long-term development.

The integration is expected to expand access to STEM education and help connect classroom learning with future career opportunities.

As part of the process, Komal Dadlani will continue to lead Lab4U as CEO, with organizational support from Britebound. This arrangement aims to ensure continuity of operations while advancing their shared mission to expand STEM education and workforce readiness initiatives.

The organizations said they will work together to increase access to educational experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics that inspire students and help them develop skills relevant to future careers.

More opportunities to develop future-ready skills

The acquisition is part of a broader strategy to help students prepare for a constantly evolving labor market by combining career guidance resources with hands-on STEM learning experiences.

By combining Britebound’s focus on career pathway development with Lab4U’s science education platform, the organizations aim to create more opportunities for students to discover their interests and strengthen skills that contribute to their academic and professional success.

For both institutions, this partnership represents another step toward expanding educational experiences that enable young people to explore, learn, and build the confidence they need to face the challenges of the future.
