Four Mexican Startups Showed at AWS Summit 2026 What AI Looks Like in Production

On the stage at AWS Summit Mexico 2026, the conversation about artificial intelligence in Mexico shifted. Instead of generic demos and promises of productivity, the presentation by Paula Bellizia, Vice President for Latin America at Amazon Web Services, introduced four local companies that already have AI operating within real-world processes, with concrete figures to show for it: monico, Cody, Blackcore, and Cerby.

Four different problems—tenders, field sales, regulatory documentation, and digital identity—and one common thread: stop experimenting and start transforming.

monico: Agents Across the Entire Tendering Cycle

monico kicked off the presentation. Its approach is to apply AI agents to an end-to-end tendering workflow: not an assistant that answers questions, but agents that support the process from start to finish, from analyzing tender documents to preparing and tracking the proposal.

Tenders involve large volumes of documents, strict deadlines, and coordination across teams, making every error or delay costly enough to lose an entire opportunity. That is why this case was representative: it is one of the first examples in Mexico of agents covering an entire business process, rather than just an isolated task within it.

Cody: “On-the-Spot” Intelligence for Salespeople

Cody brings agents to the hardest place to digitize: the moment when an advisor is face-to-face with a customer. Its platform gives employees access to corporate knowledge, coaching, and contextualized recommendations, as well as the ability to take action by connecting to the organization’s systems. It combines user-specific memory, enterprise knowledge, structured workflows, tools for acting on other systems, and an observability layer for operations managers.

Bellizia described how advisors receive the information they need “on the spot,” within their workflow. The result presented: a 20% increase in sales per advisor.

Blackcore: 90% Fewer Documentation Incidents

Blackcore works in software engineering, automation, and infrastructure for industries with demanding documentation, regulatory, and operational processes, including asset valuation and management solutions. One of its recent projects uses AWS AI services to transform how document information is extracted and processed, combining automated processing with workflows and operational visualization. The result: a 90% reduction in documentation incidents.

Cerby: Identity for Applications Beyond IAM’s Reach

Cerby targets applications that do not support standards such as SAML, SCIM, or OIDC and therefore fall outside traditional Identity and Access Management platforms. In those applications, passwords, MFA, onboarding, offboarding, and changes end up being handled manually. Cerby creates an automation layer that extends identity controls without replacing existing infrastructure. The headline figure: 98% faster incident resolution.

What AWS Summit 2026 Left Us With

As Bellizia noted, none of the four waited for the perfect conditions to get started. They tested, built POCs, validated use cases, and then integrated the solution into real processes with measurable results. That sequence—a concrete operational problem, the application of artificial intelligence, integration into the workflow, measurable results, and scaling—was the event’s real message and a sign of where Mexico’s AI ecosystem is headed.
