Fleet analyzes more than 200,000 profiles and reveals that only 6% of employees achieve high performance

The Mexican People Analytics and Human AI startup works with more than 200 companies such as Soriana, Alsea and Banorte, transforming talent decisions that once relied on intuition into predictive, data-driven strategies.

Companies invest millions in financial systems capable of accurately anticipating risks. Yet in the area that underpins results—human talent—they operate with incomplete information and reactive metrics. Fleet, a Mexican startup founded in 2023, is addressing this gap with a platform that combines advanced psychometrics, analytics, and Human AI models to predict turnover, map internal talent, and align people with strategic roles.

The numbers validate the problem: a mismatch between a person and their role reduces productivity by up to 15%, increases the likelihood of turnover by 45%, and generates cumulative losses from replacement costs, interrupted learning curves, and lost knowledge. Fleet has analyzed more than 200,000 profiles between 2023 and 2025, revealing patterns that organizations could not see with traditional tools.

“Companies make strategic decisions about their people with limited visibility. That lack of clarity affects performance, revenue, and operational stability. HR is no longer just an administrative function; it has become an intelligence hub that anticipates risks and aligns skills by drawing on reliable data,” explains Leopoldo Ocaña, CEO and co-founder of Fleet.

Data revealing the hidden talent crisis

Fleet’s analysis of 200,000 profiles confirms a structural gap between capabilities and execution. Between 2023 and 2025, the platform recorded a decline of 7 points out of 100 in key competencies such as leadership, execution, emotional management, and decision-making. This decline coincides with the strain of the post-pandemic period and rising burnout in corporate environments.

Another significant finding: there is a substantial gap between judgment and action. Only 6% of employees achieve high performance, while 22% demonstrate strong critical-thinking skills. In other words, there is brilliant talent that is not turning its strengths into results because people are not in the right roles or lack the right context to perform.

“A team can have brilliant talent, but if someone is not in the right role, that strength does not translate into results. This gap fuels frustration, increases turnover, and reduces competitiveness,” Ocaña notes.

For startup founders and leaders, this insight is critical. In the early stages, hiring well and placing talent in the right roles can mean the difference between scaling and stagnating. Fleet helps answer questions that once depended on intuition: Who has the potential to grow? Who might resign in the coming months? Is this person in the right role? Which leaders need immediate support?

Technology that turns human data into strategic decisions

Fleet was founded in 2023 by Leopoldo Ocaña, Andrea Vargas, Gerardo Álvarez del Castillo and Ricardo Alanís. The team built a platform that integrates proprietary psychometrics, advanced analytics, and predictive Human AI models, designed to help leaders and managers make fast, informed decisions aligned with the business.

The platform detects hidden patterns that influence performance and workplace stability, turning decisions that were once reactive into sound strategies aligned with a company’s culture and vision. Instead of waiting for someone to resign or fail in a role, Fleet helps anticipate risks and make adjustments before the problem escalates.

With more than 200 companies as clients—including Soriana, Alsea, Banorte and La Comer—and 500,000 users assessed, Fleet has established itself as one of the emerging leaders in talent technology in Latin America. 99% of its operations are concentrated in Mexico, with a presence in sectors such as retail, financial services, technology, logistics, and consumer goods.

‍The invisible cost startups cannot ignore

For early-stage startups, a bad hire is not just costly: it can be fatal. A brilliant technical founder who ends up leading sales, an operations leader who cannot execute, or a team with high turnover that disrupts product development. Fleet helps anticipate these mistakes before they happen.

The platform already works with more than 200 companies, has assessed 500,000 users, and analyzed 200,000 profiles. The data it generates is not theoretical: it reveals which employees have real growth potential, who might resign in the coming months, and where the gaps between capabilities and roles lie.

“Companies that understand their people precisely move faster and build stronger cultures. When talent is measured accurately, it becomes the engine that scales organizations,” Ocaña concludes.

In an ecosystem where human capital is the most valuable and scarce asset, Fleet is building the infrastructure that enables organizations to make decisions about their people with the same precision they apply to managing their finances. It is not just another HR software platform: it is the operating system for understanding, retaining, and developing talent at companies competing to scale.
