B Venture Capital announced its 3rd US $7M fund to invest in B2B startups in Latin America.

BVC launches its third USD $7M fund focused on B2B and AI startups in Latin America

B Venture Capital (BVC) continues to solidify its position as one of the region’s most active early-stage players. The fund announced the closing of its third investment vehicle at USD $7 million, nearly doubling the size of its previous fund. A clear sign of confidence: 30% of the capital came from investors who had already participated in its second fund.

With a presence in Brazil, Colombia, and Peru, BVC’s 3rd vehicle has already deployed capital in eight startups, most of which share a common denominator: the intensive use of artificial intelligence.

From Brazil to a regional platform

What began in 2016 as Brazil Venture Capital, focused exclusively on the Brazilian market, has evolved into a regional platform with local teams in São Paulo, Bogotá, and Lima. To date, BVC has built a portfolio of more than 45 startups across three funds.

Its track record shows notable results: Fund 1 achieved an exit rate of 50%, with six successful exits—primarily fintechs acquired through M&A. Notable startups include Contas Simples, a B2B fintech that raised a USD $45 million Series B and has been described as a potential unicorn in Brazil, and Mono, a Colombian fintech with investors including YC and Tiger Global.

A thesis aligned with the current market

Fund 3 aims to build a portfolio of between 20 and 22 startups, with a balanced strategy across Brazil and the rest of the region. The thesis reflects a clear trend: seven of the first eight investments are AI-native startups or integrate artificial intelligence agents into specific verticals.

“We’re especially drawn to models that digitize under-digitized industries—where technology penetration is low and the opportunity to make an impact in LatAm is enormous.” said Alejandro Troll, General Partner at B Venture Capital.

The fund’s investment strategy focuses on:

  • Industries of interest: Sector-agnostic, with a focus on B2B models, and a particular interest in Fintech and SaaS solutions for automation and technological transformation across verticals such as proptech, legaltech, logistics, e-commerce, and healthtech, among others.‍
  • Geography: All of LatAm, including Brazil.‍
  • Investment ticket size: 1rd ticket of $150,000 to $200,000 USD‍
  • Pre-seed cap valuation: $1 and $5 million USD‍
  • Additional notes: Possibility of follow-on investment in subsequent rounds.

Early traction, rapid growth

One of the fund’s notable investments is Hashi, a startup founded by an Argentine entrepreneur. Since the investment, the company has increased sales by 5x, with corporate clients such as PepsiCo and Hyundai and operations in markets including Peru, Mexico, and Central America.

Or Pantera, founded by Colombian entrepreneurs, which has an active expansion strategy in Mexico and has managed to acquire customers in several cities across the country.

These cases illustrate BVC’s approach: identifying teams with strong execution at early stages and supporting them as they scale regionally, especially in a context where artificial intelligence is redefining the competitiveness of B2B startups.

More than capital: a partner for growth

BVC describes itself as a hands-on. Beyond the initial check, we actively support founders with their go-to-market strategy, scaling, business model, and preparation for future funding rounds.

In addition, portfolio founders gain access to our regional network of startups, co-investors, and strategic partners across Latin America—an important asset for accelerating growth and opening doors in new markets.
