Blanco raises US$2 million through Broota and accelerates financing for SMEs
Blanco closes a US$2 million round via Broota with more than 160 investors, boosting financing for SMEs and consolidating its growth in Chile.

Fintech company Blanco continues to consolidate its growth after closing an investment round of US$2 million, in a deal that sets a precedent in Chile’s ecosystem by opening up startup investment through more inclusive models.
A round that democratizes startup investing
The deal was carried out through Broota, with more than 160 investors participating. This model allowed small and large investments to coexist within a single vehicle, significantly expanding access to investment opportunities.
According to the company, the capital raised will be used primarily for leverage, allowing it to multiply its lending capacity to reach US$20 million.
In addition, Blanco achieved a significant milestone by reaching profitability during its first year of operations, reinforcing the strength of its model and its ability to execute.
Strategy, discipline, and a long-term vision

The leadership of Diego Contreras, CEO and co-founder, has been key to this process. With previous experience as co-founder of Zeppelin, Contreras emphasizes the importance of combining ambition with discipline:
“It is essential to define an ambitious and clear roadmap, but also to follow it with discipline and adaptability.”
The company’s culture also reflects a holistic vision of leadership, integrating different personal dimensions—entrepreneur, spiritual leader, and father—into a coherent identity. This approach translates into an organizational culture grounded in responsibility and purpose.
Crowdfunding as a competitive advantage
The decision to opt for crowdfunding instead of a traditional venture capital round was strategic. From the company’s perspective, this model offers significant advantages, including:
- Pooling investors through an SPV
- Greater flexibility in governance
- Media exposure that strengthens relationships with SMEs
The round also demonstrated resilience in a challenging economic environment, weathering pauses and resumptions before ultimately closing.
Sustained growth and outlook

Blanco has currently processed more than 17 billion Chilean pesos and has provided close to US$50 million in financing.
With this new capital injection, the fintech aims to:
- Consolidate its position in the market
- Expand its portfolio of solutions
- Scale its growth exponentially
The round not only strengthens its financial capacity but also validates its value proposition: offering simple, effective solutions to an historically underserved segment such as SMEs.
