Beepay raises US$360 to expand its autonomous checkout technology
Beepay closed a US$360 seed round led by Comunitá to strengthen its autonomous checkout technology, integrate AI and accelerate its expansion in retail.

Beepay, a Brazilian startup combining retailtech and fintech solutions, closed a US$360 seed round to strengthen its autonomous checkout technology and accelerate the development of new tools focused on digitizing points of sale and improving the shopping experience.
The investment was led by Comunitá, the corporate venture capital arm of cooperative bank Sicredi, which contributed US$180. The rest of the funding came from ACATE Invest and the Ventiur accelerator.
Startup aims to eliminate lines and reduce operating costs
According to a company statement, the new capital comes at a time of growth and commercial traction for the startup, which currently has approximately 170 clients in its portfolio.
The main goal of Beepay is to expand its solutions for brick-and-mortar stores and points of sale by integrating payment and identification methods into a single flow, eliminating friction during the shopping process.
One of the tools the company plans to enhance will allow consumers to buy products directly from shelves using their mobile phones or self-service kiosks, without having to go through a cashier.
The technology can be implemented in brick-and-mortar stores, condominium convenience stores, hotels and businesses.

Artificial intelligence will be key to the growth strategy
A significant portion of the funding will go toward developing artificial intelligence applications for the business.
According to Renata Costa, 44% of the capital raised will be invested exclusively in technology and product development.
The startup plans to use AI to collect and analyze data in real time inside brick-and-mortar stores, creating more personalized experiences and more efficient connections with consumers.
“We are building the operating system for the autonomous retail of the future, and having strategic partners like Comunitá and Ventiur provides us with the smart money we need to scale with a solid foundation,” Costa said.
Beepay is already planning international expansion
In addition to strengthening its presence in the Brazilian market, Beepay has already begun taking its first steps toward internationalization through one of its clients, which currently operates outside the country.
The company also expects to reach financial break-even within 18 months.

Comunitá strengthens its commitment to digitization startups
The investment in Beepay is Comunitá’s second since its official launch in 2024.
The investment vehicle was created through a partnership between Sicredi —which comprises cooperatives such as Sicredi Pioneira, Caminho das Águas, Região Centro RS/MG and Norte SC— and Ventiur.
In January of last year, Comunitá invested US$180 in Alloy, a startup focused on relationship marketing solutions for the food service sector.
Sicredi aims to digitize small businesses with Beepay technology
According to Gabriele Viana do Nascimento Medeiros, the investment reflects Sicredi’s interest in promoting solutions that contribute to local economic development.
The strategy involves connecting Beepay’s technology to Sicredi’s ecosystem as a complementary service to digitize its members, especially entrepreneurs and small businesses.
“Autonomous checkout technology combines innovation, operational efficiency and a better consumer experience, generating a positive impact for retail,” the executive said.
