Solvento secures US$25 million from BBVA Spark to expand liquidity in Mexico’s transport and logistics sector.

BBVA Spark provides Solvento with US$25 million to boost Mexican logistics

Solvento announced it had closed a US$25 million financing deal with BBVA Spark, the Spanish bank BBVA’s division specializing in high-growth companies. The agreement aims to expand access to liquidity for transport companies and logistics operators in Mexico, a strategic sector for the economy that has historically faced structural cash-flow challenges.

Liquidity to strengthen supply chains

The deal includes a preferred tranche focused on large corporations, allowing the fintech to extend financing solutions to the supply chains of some of the country’s most prominent companies. Through these structures, liquidity flows to transport companies and suppliers that sustain the day-to-day operations of commerce and industry.

Founded by Jaime Tabachnik, Solvento has built its value proposition around a recurring challenge in the sector: long payment terms that directly affect the financial stability of those moving goods.

“Transportation is what sustains the real economy, but transport companies have unfairly had to absorb and finance payment delays. This financing is key to helping us continue working toward our goal of solving liquidity problems in this industry, which has been ignored for so long,” Tabachnik said.

With this new fund, the company aims to serve all key players in the logistics ecosystem, from shippers to independent transport companies, consolidating its strategy to become Mexico’s specialized financial infrastructure for the sector.

BBVA Spark strengthens its commitment to logistics

From the financial side, the deal is part of the strategy of BBVA Spark to support companies transforming traditional industries through technology and innovative financial models.

“The goal is to bring credit where it’s needed most: to the operations of the logistics chains that keep the country moving,” said Rodrigo Velasco, Country Manager Mexico & LatAm Head at BBVA Spark.

The institution has previously announced significant financing deals in Mexico aimed at expansion and working capital, establishing itself as a bridge between traditional banking, technology, and the real economy.

Financial infrastructure for a key sector

Transportation moves millions of tons of goods every year in Mexico, but the sector continues to face structural barriers to accessing credit. With this financing, Solvento strengthens its mission to develop specialized financial infrastructure that meets the logistics sector’s real needs.

The partnership with BBVA Spark not only expands the fintech’s funding capacity but also strengthens its role in supply chains, bringing liquidity to places where it has historically been most limited.
