ANKATech aims to lead the transition to the post-quantum era

ANKATech Solutions, a cybersecurity startup founded by Colombian talent, announced the closing of US$1M in its pre-seed round and its subsequent extension to US$1.5M. The investment was led by Carabela VC, a Mexican fund specializing in early-stage deeptech startups, with participation from strategic angel investors.

The capital will accelerate the company’s commercial expansion in Colombia, Mexico, and the United States, where it is already advancing its go-to-market strategy in states such as Florida, Georgia, and New York.

The company aims to establish itself as one of the global leaders in post-quantum cryptography and projects annual revenue of US$21.6M by 2030.

The challenge facing modern digital security

ANKATech’s offering addresses one of the biggest technological challenges of the coming decade: the advent of quantum computing and its ability to compromise current cryptographic systems.

The startup developed ANKASecure©, a platform that enables organizations to upgrade their cryptographic infrastructure without modifying existing applications or disrupting operations.

Rather than integrating algorithms directly into each system, the solution turns cryptography into a centralized policy, enabling encryption to be managed, updated, and governed from a single technology layer.

This makes it easier to migrate from traditional algorithms such as RSA or ECC to quantum-resistant algorithms standardized by NIST, without having to rewrite code.

Infrastructure ready for the cryptographic transition

ANKASecure© can currently orchestrate more than 125 algorithms across 21 cryptographic families, including 34 post-quantum algorithms and 41 hybrid configurations designed to facilitate the technological transition.

With this model, an organization can update cryptographic policies, respond to new regulations, or replace compromised keys in a matter of seconds, while maintaining operational continuity and reducing data exposure.

“The cryptography that protects the world today has an expiration date. We designed ANKASecure© from the outset to make the greatest cryptographic transition in digital history orderly, automated, and transparent for organizations of any size and in any industry,” said Javier Galindo, CEO, CTO, and co-founder of ANKATech.

The post-quantum market gains traction

ANKATech’s technology addresses a growing threat known as Harvest Now, Decrypt Later (HNDL), a strategy in which state actors and cybercriminal groups collect encrypted information today to decrypt it once quantum computers are sufficiently advanced.

The industry estimates this point could arrive between 2028 and 2030.

The issue’s growing importance has also drawn the attention of international regulators and analysts. Initiatives such as NIS2 in Europe, DORA, and the NSA’s CNSA 2.0 mandate are driving the adoption of security standards designed for the quantum era.

In addition, Gartner ranked post-quantum cryptography among the top cybersecurity trends for 2026, while Forrester projects rapid growth in enterprise spending in this segment.

According to industry estimates, the global enterprise cryptographic infrastructure market could exceed US$17B by 2030.

A founding team with experience in cybersecurity and technology scaling

ANKATech was founded by a team with extensive experience in technology, security, and operations.

Javier Galindo leads the company’s technology vision and has more than two decades of experience in cryptography, cybersecurity, and software architecture for financial institutions.

For her part, Julieta Delgado, COO and co-founder, brings more than 20 years of experience in operations, finance, and regulatory compliance, while Andrés Galindo, CGO and co-founder, has led more than US$50M in sales of technology and cybersecurity solutions.

“Carabela VC’s backing validates that post-quantum cryptography is no longer a laboratory topic. We’re now working with organizations in the banking sector, and our go-to-market strategy is advancing in Colombia, Mexico, and the United States,” said Andrés Galindo.

With this round, ANKATech aims to position itself as a key player in one of the most significant technological transformations of the coming decade: the global migration to cryptographic systems designed for the quantum era.
