A new AI fintech is born: KIRA raises US$2 million and debuts with US$3 million in revenue

KIRA, the AI- and stablecoin-powered fintech infrastructure platform, enables non-financial companies to launch global financial products through a single API.

A new AI fintech is born: KIRA raises US$2 million and debuts with US$3 million in revenue

Mexico City, 07 July 2025.

After operating under the radar for a year, KIRA makes its official debut: an AI-native fintech infrastructure startup, powered by stablecoins, that has already generated US$3 million in revenue and just closed a US$2 million pre-seed round.

KIRA is redefining how non-financial companies—from banks to retailers and exporters—launch global fintech products such as remittances, cross-border payments, digital wallets, international payroll, and USD accounts, without having to build from scratch or deal with backend regulatory complexity. All of this is possible through a unified API.

Headquartered in Miami and actively operating in Mexico, KIRA is preparing to launch its own operations platform in Colombia as part of its strategic expansion in Latin America.

“Very soon, all fintech products will be powered by stablecoins and artificial intelligence,” says Edrizio De La Cruz, KIRA co-founder. “We’re accelerating that future by removing technical friction so any company can offer advanced, secure financial solutions.”

A new layer of infrastructure for the fintech world

KIRA’s offering is built on abstracting the complexities of decentralized finance (DeFi) and automating backend financial operations with intelligent agents. This allows its clients to launch global financial products in weeks, not months.

Its solutions include:

●Real-time global payments, executed by autonomous agents in more than 35 countries, directly to bank accounts or co-branded wallets.

● Programmable wallets offering yields of up to 7% annual percentage yield (APY), backed by stablecoins and U.S. Treasury bonds, available as virtual USD accounts in more than 18 countries.

● Automated regulatory compliance and onboarding, with real-time verification (KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions lists, and identity).

● Stablecoin-based payments infrastructure, supporting cash, cards, ACH, and SWIFT through AI-optimized white-label payment links.

In less than a year, KIRA’s infrastructure is already powering products for Banco Industrial, Banco N1co, and one of the world’s largest brick-and-mortar retailers. It is also used by startups such as Suku, Factcil, Shield, Borderless, and Vank, which offer financial solutions to companies in Latin America, the U.S., and Europe.

A team with a proven track record in fintech and product

KIRA was founded by a team with proven experience building financial infrastructure in Latin America. Its three founders have been behind some of the region’s most influential fintech companies, with products that today process billions of dollars and serve users across multiple markets.

“As immigrants, all three of us founders have experienced firsthand the limitations of the financial system in Latin America, especially when it comes to cross-border payments, remittances, and wallets. That’s why we’re proud to build the first fintech infrastructure that combines artificial intelligence with the power of programmable money through stablecoins,” says José Alberto “Beto” Díaz, KIRA co-founder.

Camilo Jiménez was CTO and co-founder of Littio, a stablecoin-backed dollar neobank that participated in Y Combinator in 2023. With more than 15 years of experience in software engineering, he led the development of multi-currency financial infrastructure and automated reconciliation systems.

José Alberto (“Beto”) Díaz was the first Product Manager at Clip and Stori, two of Mexico’s most prominent fintech unicorns. He later founded Balam, a payments and compliance platform that now operates in seven countries.

Edrizio De La Cruz founded Arcus, a fintech that became one of the region’s largest acquisitions when Mastercard bought it after it raised more than 25 million dollars from funds such as Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz, and Citi Ventures. Following the deal, he was named the first Latino Visiting Partner at Y Combinator. He is also the author of “The Underdog Founder,” which tells the story of his journey from the Bronx to Silicon Valley.

This team represents an uncommon combination of technical depth, regulatory expertise, and operational experience in designing and scaling financial products.

With KIRA, their goal is clear: to make it possible for any company in the world to launch global fintech products powered by stablecoins and artificial intelligence, without technical friction or regulatory complexity.
