The Caricaco Ventures Summit brings together more than 300 people and organizations from Central America, the Caribbean, and Latin America each year who are interested in investing in the region. Attendees include founders, investors, family offices, development banks, and corporations. The event features an agenda with international speakers and, particularly in this edition, a high concentration of content on artificial intelligence.

Startup selection methodology

The startups featured in this mapping were selected by Startuplinks and Cuantico VP based on the following characteristics, bearing in mind that only startups recommended by the investment funds mentioned earlier were considered.

  • Traction
  • Operations in multiple countries
  • Prospects beyond Central America and the Caribbean
  • Investors on the cap table
  • Bonus
“I’m very happy with the startups we selected. I had already met some of them at other events, and we’ve even helped connect a few with investors. A couple of interesting startups didn’t make the cut, but we still saw that Central America and the Caribbean already have startups that will become known throughout the region in the coming years.” said Israel García, CEO and co-founder of Startuplinks.
