Post-Money Valuation

What is post-money valuation?

Post-money valuation refers to the value of a startup after it has raised an investment round.

For example, if a startup wants to raise an investment of US $500,000 and has a valuation of US $1,000,000, it is said that the startup will have a post-money valuation of US $1,500,000 because that US $500,000 will be added to the company's value.
