Accelerator and incubator

Difference between an accelerator and an incubator

A business accelerator helps other companies grow in their early stages—stages when they already have a product and something to sell. Accelerators offer a methodology and mentors, and some provide funding in exchange for an equity stake in the company, with the goal of accelerating its development and growth.

An incubator, on the other hand, supports projects at the idea stage and helps them turn that idea into a product. Incubators typically have a methodology designed to help startups bring that idea to life.
